One of the things I find most comforting, encouraging and awe-inspiring about God is that He has so many Names; each one representing an indelible part of His Character.
These Names were given to God throughout various circumstances in which He proved Himself Faithful, Powerful and Worthy of Praise. Here are a few of my favourite Names for God and Bible verses that illustrate the Promises embedded in each one. He truly is our Everything. Be blessed!

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” 2 Corinthians 8:9
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:19
Jehovah-Rophe: The Lord Heals and Restores
“Christ heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” – Psalm 147:3
“But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the LORD” – Jeremiah 30:17
Jehovah-Nissi: The Lord is my Banner of Victory
“The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?” – Psalm 27:1
“But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” – 1 Corinthians 15:57
Jehovah-Tsidkenu: The Lord is my Righteousness
“And the effect of righteousness will be peace [internal and external], and the result of righteousness will be quietness and confident trust forever” – Isaiah 32: 17
“For You, Lord, will bless the righteous; as with a shield You will surround him with goodwill” – Psalm 5: 12
Jehovah-Rohi: The Lord is my Shepherd
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep” – John 10:11
“To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out” – John 10:3
Jehovah-Shalom: The Lord is my Peace and Wholeness
“My heart and my flesh may fail, but God is the Strength of my heart and my portion forever” – Psalm 76:23
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” – John 14:27
May your hearts overflow with Hope!
Love in Him: Tasha
Natasha, Every Sabbath we pray that God will provide the right atmosphere for our worship. This Sabbath Jehovah-Jireh and you appeared to worship with us. God is indeed awesome.
Thanks so much Elian! It was indeed a pleasure meeting the Yongsan SDA family and worshiping with you all! I will see you next Saturday!
