Smell the Roses

“Take time to stop and smell the roses.”

Most of us have heard this saying at some point in our lives. What does it mean to you on a personal level? In my experience, life sometimes gets so busy, hectic and demanding that it leaves me feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. Can you relate? If so, I would encourage you to purposefully take some time out of your full schedule to simply be still and see that the Lord is Good.

For me, taking time to smell the roses means appreciating the everyday treasures of life. The breathtaking colours of a sunset, the sweet fragrance of freshly fallen rain, the uninhibited joy of a child’s laughter. It means thanking God for the many blessings He has so graciously given to me. What are some of the roses in your life that you can pause today to be thankful for?

“And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of
our Lord Jesus Christ” – Ephesians 5:20

With a grateful heart,
