Be Still My Child and Know

When the trials seem to never end
When you force a smile but can no longer pretend
When things don’t go the way you intend
Be still my child and know.

When life’s storms seem to be closing in
When you’re running in circles but can’t seem to win
When the clouds are thick and the silver lining thin
Be still my child and know.

That you were planned from the very start
I don’t make mistakes; you’re a work of art
You hold the highest place in my heart
Be still my child and know.

That I am God, and will always be
The One you can turn to for your every need
I love and adore you; you’re precious to me
Be still my child and know.

  2. My eyes are stinging still. This poem is moving. I love that you do not finish the line of scripture, you let God finish it in our hearts. It’s very powerful. Stephy xox
