Sometimes

Sometimes we forget how much God loves us…

A failed friendship, a broken heart, a devastating illness.

Sometimes we underestimate His Provision in our lives…

When our prayers aren’t answered the way we had hoped, when we feel as though we deserve better than what we have, when we don’t recognize the blessings He has given us because they appear in ways we weren’t expecting.

Sometimes we think we can make it on our own…

When we don’t want to admit we need help, when we put up a façade so that nobody will see our vulnerability, when we try to pretend we have it all together when our heart is bleeding on the inside.

Sometimes we believe the lies of the enemy…

When we doubt our self-worth, when we compare ourselves to others and come up short, when we don’t think we have anything valuable to offer the world.

But the truth is…

Our Saviour is not a God of sometimes. (Isaiah 40:8)

He is the God of yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8)

He is the God that loves you SO much that He died on the cross so that YOU could spend eternity with him in heaven. (John 3:16)

He is the God that hears every single one of your prayers. (1 John 5:14)

He is the God who will be your Strength when you are too weak to take another step. (2 Corinthians 12:9)

He is the God that wants to heal every area of your life and bind up all your wounds. (Psalm 147:3)

He is the God that makes ALL things possible, no matter how impossible they may seem. (Mark 10:27)

He is the God that created you fearfully and wonderfully in His image (Psalm 139:14)

He is the God that wants to bless your life to overflowing (Malachi 3:10) so that you will never doubt for even one second how precious you are in His sight.

So the next time you feel the weight of the world on your shoulders, take heart…

Our God has overcome the world! (John 16:33)
